Very nice

I really liked the animation and drawings, though I wasn't too keen on the song.

The only weak parts as far as the graphics went were the 'system of a down' text and the bit where the vocalist is walking along and sees all the people. I just didn't like the way you drew the people too much.

Still, it's all technically great and as I said, I liked the art.

If it was for a song I actually liked, I'd give this a better score. ;p

I'm sure newcomers will love it.

I'm going to presume you released this to help expand your audience.

I hope that a fair number of the viewers clicked through to your site.

The series deserves it.

It may not be funny when watching it over again, and the overall humour of the series may wear off a little as more episodes are seen, but there's no denying that it's funny, pure and simple.

You've created a quality series, and I'd like to applaud you.

Alright as a trailer, I suppose...

The graphics were nice, as was the music, but there should have been some more humour or something.

I suppose that's because it's a trailer, but still...

The basic premise seems interesting, but doesn't make for an interesting watch on its own.

If you combined it with some decent plot or jokes in the proper series, this could be something good.

But I won't hold my breath.

After all, a good plot or jokes aren't exactly easy to come by.

Still, as I said, it's a top idea and I hope you do justice to it.

Good luck,
Bez
But I won't hold my breath.

Good start, good end, slow middle.

The irellevent intro was nice, with the throw-away joke. However, the speed of the photos flowing through the screen like memories was far too slow.

They should have maybe arrived on-screen via a fade in or spinning in at double the rate.

The ending was slightly amusing, but for me didn't really make up for the slow middle.

Also, it seems to me that the way you have tree-stumps move seems too unrealistic for us to entirely suspend our belief. That little thing definitely niggles throughout.

Lastly, I'd like to suggest again that you set bgm to stream, and also that you have a replay button at the end, or maybe have it loop to the original splash screen.

Although I've been pretty negative, your art was really nice as was the music.

I think you just need to pace your movies a bit better.

I really look forward to seeing your next effort.

Stay funky,
Bez

Good, though a bit slow.

I watched this as you suggested watching it before the sequel.

I thought your graphics were generally good, and the music a good choice.

In future, ALWAYS set background music to 'stream'. That will ensure that it synchs up to the graphics and so you'll be able to match the animation to the beat with more confidence.

Also, you'll be able to match up graphics to the music more easily, as the sound will play when you 'scrub' the timeline.

My main criticism is that the movie as a whole seems a bit slow and lacks enough elements to make it really interesting.

After the boy ran away for the first time, I thought for a few seconds that the animation might have looped itself.

You should really make it a bit different the 2nd time the butterfly flys by.

Maybe even add some other elements, like grass blowing or something.

It'd increase your workload, but make for a more interesting watch.

As it is, it was largely the music that made this enjoyable at all to watch.

Well, I'm interested to see whether your 3rd submission is an improvement or not. :)

By the way, I'd just like to say how impressed I am by the quality of this when you say how short a while you've been using FLash for.

I'm not going to give you any charity points, but to have gotten this good so quickly... wow! You must have some real talent!

Stay funky,
Bez

A bit boring

The graphics were fairly nice, but it all got a bit tiring the way you used the same 3-second loop and the same setup for every character.

The secret was... interesting. It raised the overall by a mark.

I have a feeling this is more of an in-joke than anything.

Nice graphics!!! *blush*

Quality stuff!

Ahh... so it's a video camera he's using in pt. 2...

From a narrative perspective, it might have been better had you finished after the first guy we see doing tricks falls over.

That way you'd be finishing after a punchline, rather than sort of picking up again, then fading away.

Still, it remains a really enjoyable watch.

Top stuff, and I look forward to seeing more from you! :)

What is r.mullen 1,2,3?

Good stuff.

Well, all the praise regarding the full versions graphics also applies to this obviously.

One thing I'd point out - when you finished it, it didn't really feel like it was a full thing. I mean, it could have been, but it could have as easily not have been.

Maybe if you mixed up a skater video with some sort of plot, you'd produce a real classic?

In any case, stay funky,
Bez

Needs to be longer.

It looked like a really good beginning, but just as I was thinking 'Yeah, this is gonna be some quality shit', it ended.

Major bummer.

The song was good, and the animation was good.

I was interested to find out why that skater was following the other one with a gun.

You should really spend some more time planning and finishing a movie. You obviously have talent!

Really nice work.

The perspective on the environments is spot on. Did you do them in Flash, or use a 3D program?

The stick figure, though simple, is nicely animated.

The music's really groovy and helps everything move along.

The biggest complaint I have is the basketball constantly in the lower right corner of the screen. Too distracting.

Also, I wasn't too keen on the final section with the colour and that - when the larger stick was holding up the smaller one, at first I thought it was a child that he was teaching something to.

But quality stuff!

I'm off to see something else by you. :)
