Maybe change the lens flares.

They looks too spherical just now.

Try making them just a slightly transparent solid circle, or maybe with an alpha gradient round the very edges.

I have to say though, I'm almost shocked at the score that this - a pointless test - has gotten.

Ah well, folk obviously like it, so you should probably develop it.

TheComet responds:

Yeah, I rushed the lens flare a little bit, it's just that I was unsure how to make it since I don't usually look into the sun with my telophoto lens camera :P(Eye BBQ >.<)
I already have an idea for it...
It'll seem somewhat like a mix of madness and Yu-gi-oh, Magic, DBZ, (and any other good action things) and maintain 3D animation for the entire movie. I may make a series with episodes and such, a little unsure.

Brilliant 'show'.

At first, with the face and the crappy morphing text, I thought this was going to be totally rubbish.

However, a lot of the remaining sketches made me smile. The stupidity and the 'amateur aspect' of the show complemented the humour well.

I'm going to go watch the previous episodes now. :)

Needed more planning.

It lookslike you started off wanting to make a series of short 3-second sketches, but then the 2nd turned into a longer thing.

If you were going to have a movie as long as the 2nd, you really shouldn't have had a totally unrelated 3-second thing at the start.

The start of the 2nd section was mildly amusing, but everything else was just too obvious.

My suggestion: in future, try to surprise us more.

Sorry for the negativity,
Bez

Graphics and the whole idea seem unfinished

It was mildly amusing (and unexpected) when the d---- got killed by the ----.

However, whilst I somewhat liked the design of the big fish, the animation as a whole just wasn't particularly interesting to watch.

If you worked a bit harder to time the actions to the music, that could pay dividends.

Hmm... maybe if it was complete I wouldn't think so lowly of it...

Still, keep it up and you'll get better with practise.

Good luck,
Bez

Good for a first movie.

The animation could use a bit of work, but it looked far better than my 1st movie did.

You at least made some attempt at giving the characters a decent character (hehe) and injecting some jokes. Whilst it wasn't exactly rivetting or something I actually laughed at, it was a mildly enjoyable watch.

I think you know where to go from here. Just work on having more jokes per minute and try to improve your art and script through practise.

And remember - longer isn't always better. ;)

Stay funky,
Bez

Nylo responds:

I'm really glad the character persona came off well, it gives me lots of room to move around it in future episodes. I'll keep your recomendation for more jokes per minute heavily in mind, thanks =)

Top movie, but I just didn't find it funny.

I notice you haven't replied to any of the folk asking what programs you used to make this. Are you trying to keep it some sort of secret? Because I really can't think why else you wouldn't reply...

In any case, it seems like a quality movie.

The graphics look rather slick and professional - specially the man's face (although maybe a tiny bit devoid of much personal style, I feel).

The whole thing is fast-paced, interesting to watch and only lasts as long as it needs to - always a good thing.

The music was excellent and the beats started at just the right point.

The only reason I didn't enjoy it any more was basically because I didn't find the underlying humour that funny. Sure, it was interesting to watch and the graphics alone stunned me for the first few seconds.

Also, whilst I agree with the underlying message, it seems to me that having a slightly more realistic movie might be better for convincing people of that.

It's a quality movie but I simply don't find it funny.

I have answered close to 100 e-mails from people asking me what programs I use to make my movies, and when someone asks in a review I usually take the time to e-mail that person directly to make sure they get my response. If I don't answer someone, it's probably because I haven't had the time to yet, but I do make an attempt to answer every question asked.
