Some brilliant images

Some of the art was amazing. The way you sorta managed to capture the likeness of those figures astounded me and the intro screen (with green things) was funky too.

However, whilst you may be a Photoshop wizard, the filling of the ballot box did really suck. I'd reccommend you'd make another bitmap for the filling, then use an animated mask to uncover it.

Music was excellent and voice was good.

I think the whole political thing was a bit over the top even for the situation in hand and that, mixed with the slightly confusing nature of the movie made it lose a lot of its appeal.

On a technical note, it really should wait until a button is pressed before starting playback. I mean, it takes a while to d/l and so to expect folk to be ready to watch it straight away is a bit unreasonable.

As said below though, very cool.

Wonderfully eerie

It starts with Salad fingers speaking into a telephone. We presume he is simply being odd, imagining the other end's words, as we notice the cord has broken. After a strange noise (as many others in his world make), we aren't so sure.

This is one of the amazing things about Salad Fingers. In a world where seemingly everyone is slightly insane and nothing is definitely real or otherwise, we can't help but try to work it all out.

We never will, of course, but that's the beauty of it.

Personally, I'd imagine that maybe his fright was caused by her being the first person to speak to him. It could be anything though and I never will be sure.

The eerie music and the raven help to create the unsettling atmosphere.

The whole thing really is like taking a step into another world. Unsure of everything with no certainties, no matter how much you learn the truth and any real comprehension is always just out of reach.

Much like our own world, I suppose.

I love the wibbly text and the only (very tiny) nit pick I have is that the crow didn't look too good, a sorta photo pasted into an animated world. But that certainly didn't make me lower the score.

Amusing ending.

Animation was poor. Art was tops.

Joke at the end was funny and I liked the whole set-up and the way they got there.

It made me chuckle.

And her facial expression was great!

Great idea

I don't know if interactive comics/cartoons were your idea or not, but I've got to tip my hat off to you for introducing me to that concept (as I may use it myself).

The comic is really building up to something here.

From a 1-frame introduction, then a short strip, a stupidly short animation and finally a not-so-feeble animation.

It really gets the momentum going for the series and is a good start.

I won't bother commenting on graphics as you've advanced so far. Just that the art's a lot better than the animation.

Story was funky and amusing. (specially the idea of smashing the voting poll.)

Just maybe not quite funny enough to get me going. If I had watched this as it came out, I'm sure I would have liked it more.

excellent mixture of parody and random elements.

Retaining the basic plot of and spoofing multiple books/films, this substitutes the main characters with ludicrous parodies whilst keeping enough elements of the original to make this close enough to be amusing.

Ron does lose his accent a bit at the end, but mixing up the characters (keeping them true to character) and a few plot elements with a bit of random, drunken, and nostalgic humour is a wonderful idea and wonderfully pulled off.

Made me laugh out loud - that's 2x today! :-D

Thanks for the laughs,
Bez

a bit tiring and confusing.

Liked: sprites and bgs and music... well chosen I guess.

Looked like you worked fairly hard on it.

disliked: seemed to slow. No 'story so far' bit for 1st-time viewers. Didn't like the circles with the gradients. if you're going to use a gradient for an explosion, make the outside bit 0% alpha, not black.

It did sorta tire me, mainly as I didn't know what had gone before and it didn't seem specially rivetting. Fight scenes don't need to be animated as limited as the game's were.

Looks like you put a lot of work into this, but I just didn't enjoy it.

a bit too frantic for my tastes.

I'm a harsh guy and tough to please. So don't let my giving you a mediocre mark annoy you.

It was fairly nicely animated and had some decent ideas. The mailman who needs love, BR's affection for... pancakes and all the other bits and pieces. Like your rod.

But none of these seemed enough to make me laugh - it was all a bit familiar and there wasn't enough development of any of the jokes for my tastes.

Also, whilst I appreciate it was a comedy, the storming off, and over-acting of the next transition and beginning of the next scene seemed to hurried for a good story and not that amusing a joke.

Was nicely animated though and I could make out all the words - often a problem for me.

Stay funky,
Bez

Well, it certainly fits your site's name.

It's sick. I'll give you that.

I really was disgusted by this sorta creepy animation.

Thinking back on it though, the fact that someone would make such a twisted sick thing is kinda funny and the fact that I'm writing this is making me giggle a bit...

Still, fucking sick.

Amazing graphics.

The whole thing had a sort of painted effect, really vibrant and exciting visuals. I really, really love the art in this!

What programs did you use? It looks as if you took every individual frame and applied some stroke filter to it in PS, but I'd really like to know the truth.

As I said, the art was amazing and I specially loved the parts with the unicorn running at the camera.

If you could mesh the art with an actual story though, it would be truly amazing.

Insanely funny

Switching between the classical and modern, semi-serious and total insanity, with a real plot running through and real pay-off for all the time invested into jokes, this has an amazing story.

When I wasn't laughing, I was nearly always gripped by the story and the many crazy turns it took.

The graphics weren't that well animated - it looked as if you had taken bitmaps and just moved them about in Flash, sorta south Park style.

However, that didn't realy detract from my enjoyment.

In fact, the collage almost added to the zany humour.

Music was well timed and it really was enough to get me laughing for a fair while.
