Not feeble at all.

The graphics and animation were lovely and the story was mildly amusing.

My main gripe is just the slow nature of the animation. I'd rather the action was a little faster - some scenes could be cut a little or some animation speeded up to make for a better pace.

Of course, when I say better, I mean better in my opinion.

Entertaining watch.

Like the others, your voice acting, animation and drawing are all up to par and the jokes are amusing enough.

I'd just enjoy it a bit more if it had more of a story.

Maybe I lack a funnybone...

I liked the graphics and the voice acting was great, but I wasn't too keen on the plot and script.

It just seemed to me like the story sorta started, and then just as it looked as if it was about to go somewhere (with the acid tarts) we were treated to yet another aside (amusing I admit) followed by an ending.

It just seemed a bit premature to me - I was expecting some sort of story to be told but was left feeling disappointed.

As amusing as the reality TV show and last joke were, they seemed to take up too much of the screentime.

Still, this remains an entertaining watch.

Good entertainment

A fairly imaginative plot, a script that's obviously had a lot of time, effort and talent invested into it and some good animation.

You done good, boy. :)

But then, you already knew that. ,)

Great series

Presuming you were going for the style of a 60s superhero show, you've achieved your aim.

The only thing the finale needed was a final scene with Dr. Shroud talking things over with his assistant.

I thouroughly enjoyed watching the series and I look forward to seeing the next episode of the current series.

It's refreshing to not have facts shoved in your face and a little left to the imagination.

You're constantly improving as an artist and I look forward to seeing some of your work when your animation is as good as your artwork.

To me, this episode looked better in terms of animation than your most recent as the bit with the plank of wood did look a bit shoddy and kinda let the animation down.

In any case, you seem to have a growing fanbase and you truly deserve it.

Good luck for future stuff,
Bez

OOh.... Dr shroud in trouble...

As I've hinted before, this is real B-movie fare, but I suppose that's what you were going for?

I just realised we still don't know what the deal with his medication is...

There wasn't any distortion in the voices in this episode and the animation is also steadily improving.

Wow, I'm so glad I don't have to wait for months for the finale. :)

Hey Bezman-
Thanks for all of your comments on all the episodes. I appreciate the time you took to provide an honest (and flattering) evaluation. Yes, I always aimed for a B-movie, 60's superhero look (I do come from a comic bakground). The look, feel and exectution of Dr. Shroud will improve as I go along and we slowly uncover his past, present and future. Thanks again.

Best,
Rob

Your movies need 'play' buttons!

It'd be really nice to be able to load the animations whilst doing something else without having to right-click and uncheck play.

It's just nice to load the movie, then come back to it in a minute or 2 and have it waiting for you.

The voices were good, although there was a little bit of distortion. The actual voice-acting was brilliant. (And unlike a lot of movies, I could understand perfectly everything that was said.)

The plot remains slightly cheesy (heightened by the voices) but entertaining and compulsive viewing.

Waiting for part 3 to load..

Every episode brings up new questions with just enough information to keep you guessing and keep you eager for the next episode.

The madicine Dr. Shroud has to take still hasn't been explained and now we have another question to be answered! I hope we get them during this series. ;)

Although the setting is slightly cliched and some of the dialogue slightly cheesy, it is really entertaining to watch. Whilst I wouldn't say I connected to the characters or really care much about them, I definitely want to know what happens next!

(And some of the character design was truly excellent)

Great work,
Bez

Very much styled like comics.

The art is excellent and it seems to me that you've been either inspired by or come frome a comic artist's background.

The animation is slightly less professional, as the images sometimes remain static when moving, causing them to look slightly unnatural and the perspective is occasionally messed up (specially with the plank of wood that falls on the old guy's head).

The music is excellent at creating the mood of a B-movie and is well places, although it's maybe slightly too loud at times.

The plot seems intriguing, but there's just not enough explanation given as to what's going on for my liking.

After watching it through 2x, I still don't really understand much of it... maybe that's the point - that the questions remain to be answered - but I would like to know a bit more about the doctor or his motives so I could connect with him a bit more.

Overall it's a highly individualistic piece done in a style I don't often see. The story may not have been one of my favourites, but if I see another Dr. Shroud episode, I'll definitely watch it.

I'm now off to see some more of your work. :)

Nice mood-setter

It's funny that I'd comment on the comic qualities of your recent episode when from the first animation it looks as if that's exactly the look you're aiming for.

The scratches are fairly nice (although the loop is a tad too short) and the flickering lighting is lovely.

I specially liked the part where the thingimajige enters the vampire.

I'll have to watch the next episode to form more of an opinion, but this works really well as a mood-setter.
