A bit more original than #6

These really are too short, when I consider the small amount of work that must go into making a minute of this...

However, the series has been entertaining enough to keep me watching - not just through bloody mindedness (although there is a bit of that) but also because it has been enjoyable, funny and interesting in parts.

It's not one of my favourites, but it is a mildly enjoyable watch, as I said before, and I hope that with the experience you gained whilst making this your next series will be even better.

By the way, the intro music (on the star bit) sounds a bit like Monkey, although I doubt that's what it is... or is it?

Not enough plot here. Too DBZ inspired.

Man, a cloud, an older great warrior who raised a baby he found in the woods...

This really does have more stuff out of Dragonball Z than is comfortable. I'm starting to think you did know what DBZ was...

Also, there's really not enough plot here to make it worth the time that it takes, specially since most of it is straight out of DBZ.

As the series has gone on, this has taken more and more out of that cartoon. I'm seriously disappointed.

I wouldn't call it a DBZ rip-off...

Although there are a lot of similarities, it does seem to have its fair share of differences.

I'll maybe wait until I see them all before making my mind up though.

In case you honestly don't know, Dragonball Z (DBZ) is a Japanese cartoon based on a comic drawn and scripted by Akira Toriyami. (He formed part of the 3-man 'dream team' largely responsible for Chrono Trigger, and has helped with many other RPGs).

It's all about superheroes fighting villains and succeeding despite overwhelming odds. Just like this.

Loads of inspiration from DBZ - annoying ends.

To be fair, the fact that you have fireballs and an annoying cut-off is OK. Just as long as this fight ends in the next episode...

I really hated the series with Frieza's fight in DBZ and this had the same fault. I hope it won't be as much of a problem.

The story is rather cliched, but remains mildly interesting and entertaining in a daytime TV sort of way.

Slightly more amusing

I liked the drawings of the heroes, and the movie as a whole didn't seem overly slow anywhere, as a lot of animations on NG do.

If this had good graphics and animation, this would get a 7. However, the graphics do affect my enjoyment of this slightly and so it'll get a 5 (because I can't give it 5.5).

Also, maybe you should compile the episodes when they're all uploaded and have the series in 4 longer episodes?

As it is, you really need to see the other episodes to enjoy any particular one but the 1st and also, redoing it for 4 episodes could give you a chance to re-do the graphics and implement techniques you've hopefully learnt.

Even if you are going to have a really low fps, it would be nice if the individual drawings had more detail, like if you hand-drew them maybe and scanned them in? Or just took more time with them in Flash?

Yay! #4's loaded! :)

A bit more predictable...

This episode seemed a bit more predictable and derivative compared to the first.

It was still mildly entertaining, and the music was pretty funky.

No offense, but the limited animation doesn't seem so much a style as a way of cutting back on production time. Which is fair enough, but it seems wrong to call it your style.

Also, the text boxes near the end either aren't large enough or go over the right hand side of the movie dimensions.

Really promising

I saw your 2 new episodes on the front page and decided to see it from the start.

Top stuff!

The graphics are terrible - as you no doubt know - but they're terrible in a different way from the norm, if you see what I mean. Which is better than being rubbish in the normal way...

In any case, the movie seemed to have the basics of pace and the good telling of a story in place.

The music was good - well placed and well chosen.

My biggest criticism (even worse than the graphics imo) is the shoddy spelling and the fact that a fair bit of the text near the end went outside the window.

Still, it looks promising. I'm off to watch #2. :)

Have voices in the sequel.

Well, this one made me chuckle at one point, but it does seem to go on for a really long while and get a bit boring at some points.

If you had decent voices, maybe that'd make it more entertaining?

Maybe you could make the bitmaps a graphic in Flash by re-drawing them as a load of rectangles to save space?

In any case, a lot of folk obviously loved this and I'm obviously in the minority.

I really wish you the best of luck with #3 and I'm sure you'll be able to make it better yet.

Stay funky,
Bez

Mildly entertaining, but not really funny.

I'd seen this before, many months ago. I can't remember if I laughed the first time I watched it, but I expect not.

I certainly didn't find it that funny this time around.

I suppose I just didn't like your style of humour that much. All the sexual and farting jokes didn't really do it for me.

However, it was mildly entertaining to watch, and I liked the bit when Link got lost.

I don't like FF that much, but enjoyed this.

The preloader was really impressive, even if I found it a bit boring.

I also have another slight criticism - when the staff is being turned around, her arms go through each other, if you see what I mean.

I accept that it's being a bit picky, but I thought it worth mentioning.

All in all though, even if this wasn't as funny as the other cartoons of yours I've seen, I enjoyed watching it twice - once for the lyrics and a 2nd time to watch the graphics.

An enjoyable watch.

(Even if I tried to click on the triforce for a while to get to the extra scene...)
