Nice graphics. :)

I did like your drawings - specially the way you drew the villain. However, there really wasn't much going on in terms of plot and I didn't understand the ending at all. What was that female supposed to have said to the villain.

Nice to look at I suppose... if next week's joke is any good and the graphics and tune are as good as this this week's, it'll be a great episode.

Good luck,
Bez

Well i dont think there is supposed to be any point in this, but if i get more reviews like this ill put a joke in :)
Thanks.

Wow! Weekly top 20 on your first attempt!

Good show. :)

I think it might have been nicer if you'd not just used solid colours for everything, but at least this way it's got something of an individual style.

Although the animation is simple, it is rather nice to look at.

The music is well-suited and the voices are decent. However, the loud bit of music at the start drowns out some of the voices. Next time, try to get a song that stays more consistent in volume.

'Counting The Days' was also an excellent choice of song for the end.

The story was an enjoyable watch, perhaps because it deals with a subject that we'll all have experienced. However, I think if you kept at it and made a series so we could get to know the characters, it might be a more enjoyable watch.

Will you be making more movies with the same characters then?

CopyCatDS responds:

Well, first off, the solid characters are part of the style i use. I also have been told about how the music gets too loud for the voices to hear, i'll get this cleared up. And as for the final question, i will be making movies with the same characters, but every episode will hopefully include a new main character along with the four. Also from time to time, i may change the looks on a character, so that they may look different for the next episode...

Thanks for the good comments! and enjoy my movie!

Looking good... apart from the characters.

I like the fonts you've used and also the way you've arranged the 'assault' title screen, having the text some out with some 3D objects beneath.

The play button is really nice - I really like the way that after rolling off it you see the shadow of the text kind of come back in.

There are a few nice 3D effects throughout the movie and the action's really nicely paced - specially at the end where you go through all the previous images.

Nice way to do it :)

The only problem I have is that I'm not sure if I like your characters that much. I don't think the hands sit that well with the stick-men and I don't like the way some of them have boots and some don't.

I would prefer it if it was full characters I think.

But it was a really nice trailer and I'll be sure to watch the movie when I see it in the weekly top 20 - where it will undoubtedly rest for a while.

Something of a Harry Potter rip off tbh.

The design of the wee creatures was a copy of the house-elves in the film and the vomiting slugs was straight out of one of the stories.

It's OK to be inspired by stuff, but don't just do straight copies of particular elements.

I did really like the graphics though and the music seemed rather good too. I liked the wee joke about the hot dog and the look on her eyes immediately after.

I felt that the movie lost it about half-way through. It started off as what could have been a decent intro to a longer movie, but when it actually started (with the guy seeking revenge and then the bit with the 3 house-elves) it was just a bit confusing and uninteresting. If you're going to have a movie with special powers and that, we should have some knowledge of what they can do. As your characters are HP-based, having the house-elves do magic seems wrong.

I suggest you work on something with more original characters.

Best of luck with future stuff - you obviously have some artistic talent.

An enjoyable watch. Nothing spectacular.

Since my last review seemed to merely annoy you I won't say any more.

Hilarious!

I liked the whole premise of Harry Potter and co. as puppets. The animation on the arms was brilliant!

Although there were a lot of things that wouldn't have been possible with real puppets, the angle still worked really well.

There were so many jokes thrown into such a short length of movie and that - more than anything else - was what made this so brilliant.

I chuckled at the 'bother'ing and 'peeking time' (I /think/ that's what Dumbledore says...).

The faces were brilliant - specially Dumbledore's grin as his flashing ends.

My only criticism is that there's no play button so the movie starts automatically and loops endlessly.

Great stuff!

By the way, I went to see some of your sister's comics but could only see 2...

Sorry, but I didn't really enjoy that.

The song just seemed to be more suited to background music rather than something to base a music video around.

I'd already seen most of the stuff shown already and whilst the sight of Clevis doing the moonwalk was a pleasant one to behold, as was the sight of him playing the air guitar, it really didn't make the video interesting as a whole.

The drumming didn't seem to fit that well with the music, and whilst I appreciate that lip synching is hard, it could have made a big difference had you spent more time perfecting it a bit more.

Ultimately, I think a music video made up with clips of a series isn't a bad idea, but I don't think your series had yet gone on long enough for you to make one.

Obviously though the NG public disagrees with me.
