[Hobo's Paradise]

T'was really nicely done.

The quality of the gags was indeed almost Warner-Bros. like.

But, I don't particularly find Warner Bros. cartoons that funny either.

Basically, this is really well made'n'all, but I'm giving it a low score 'cos it doesn't appeal to my sense of humour, and so was IN MY OPINION not that great a watch.

It is all a bit strange, and I haven't seen something like this before, which I appreciate.

To be fair, the graphics needed to be better.

If you're trying to do something like this, graphics are really important.

I reckon they don't matter /quite/ as much as for a comedy or game, but in something where you're trying to redo a simple story, the plot or joke or interactivity isn't there to save you, so the grcaphics, sound and virtual camera work need to be great.

Unfortunately, this was not the case with this animation.

Next time, try making a game or joke, or work a bit more on the plot.

As I say so often, anything based on humour is going to be more subject to personal opinion than, say, a game. Or a movie based around action, or graphics, or style.

I dunno, the whole idea of something making us laugh is totally crazy. I suppose if one of us actually worked out what it is that makes others layugh, we'd be millionnaires. Until then, I'll presume that it's a perversion of the normal expectations that makes myself laugh.

Actually scrap that. I'm just saying something, trying to sound like I know something about something I know nothing about.

Basically, my point is that humour is subjective. This didn't do it for me.

A bit confusing, but nice graphics.

I do like the style of the graphics, and you've got some nice stuff going. However, I think that when you consider how little is revealed in this episode, it's a bit confusing and tiring.

So basically:

Good:
Decent graphics.
Decent style with the black bodies and nice little outlines and stuff...
Decent music.
A new sayajin!

Bad:
Nothing too original...
A bit tiring.
A tad confusing.

Nice graphics.

It looks like a challenger to Xiao Xiao - and it's in English!

Other people can't seem to get enough of these fighting stickman movies with nice graphics, so you'll almost definitely get enough praise and fans to make the whole movie worth while.

However, on your next attempt, try to make it a bit different, okay?

Like, have a story which is a bit different to the XX stories, or make it a game, which is reasonably playable.

Then, I would rate it higher.

As it is, I just think it needs a bit more originality.

Oh, and a button to start it off, rather than it starting automatically would also make it better.

I just didn't enjoy watching this.

I dunno why...

The music was all right, the graphics were well done, there was definitely some style in there, with the suggestion of a zany plot.

However, it just didn't have anything there to grab me, and keep me interested.

Oh, and I didn't actually find it funny.

Ultimately, I just ended up finding it boring.

However, I would urge you to remember that the score is MY PERSONAL OPINION.

It's better than the score suggests.
