How did you get those 3d graphics?

Just wondering, as I'd seriously doubt you made them yourself...

Anyway, I didn't like the fact that the episode was so short and told us little or nothing about what was going on.

A couple of the bits of text flashed by in about half a second and I didn't get time to read them.

I suggest you use the NG pre-loader in future as that actually works.

Other than that, I'd suggest you simply work a bit more on the story and try to have enough material so we can actually get into it.

Great style! But maybe lose the gradients?

The format you've scanned in does look pleasing to the eye and rather unique. However, the gradients seem to ruin your style a bit, so I suggest you make your only additions the outlines, flies and blocks of solid colour. And the text of course.

The way the plot is delivered, the voice and graphical style all help to make this an obvious pastiche of childrens cartoons.

However, it just isn't as funny as the premise promises. I don't know why exactly... humour is always a hard thing to get right or constructively criticise.

At leat the unique style makes this worth watching.

Good work,

yep.true. the gradients didn't work as well as i'd hoped. they are out in the next episode. I was looking for the depressing style of british childrens animation of the 70's. It's more wistfull than ha ha funny.

Great work!

The design and colouring of the zombee is excellent as are the brain-like flower and the sketchy clouds.

I love the 'buzz' the bee emits, and the music does seem a bit bee-like somehow...

The poorest aspect of this animation is the humour. It made me smile, but never made me laugh at all.

However, it's still excellent as I enjoy just watching that zombee buzz away due to the excellent art and animation. :)

Aww... I love you too, fat ninja of love. :)

I really like this animation.

The pretence at a sombre tone soon gives way to the hyper kawai remainder.

The high pitched voices, crazy action, speedlines and ludicrous subject matter bring to mind a stereotypical Japanese animation, whilst the drawing and design of the ogre thing (as well as the stuff inside) looks more western.

You are obviously an extremely skilled artist and animator and it shows!

The end has made me laugh so many times in the past few minutes... nearly every time I've seen it I haven't been able to stop myself from letting a few chuckles escape my lips.

The only problem I have is that in the first font you use, the 'y' looks rather like an 'n' and the lower-case 's' looks rather like an 'f'.

Apart from that, it's an impeccable piece of entertainment.

bovine responds:

Cheers, I don't like the font at the beginning either...but I won't be using it again.
Thanks for your kind words.

Brilliant for a first flash.

The start of the movie - guy comes to see what we must presume is his wife and child having been killed - seems a bit cliched and unoriginal.

Also, in a movie you seem to be trying to make serious, the hitman building grates a bit - the way he strolls into a building and is told where the boss of a crime syndicate is just seems almost idiotic.

However, at least you've made a stab at a story.

The voices seemed quite good - I was disappointed to see you didn't have one for the boss.

I was rather impressed by the 3d sections and the graphics of the gun in particular were great.

All in all, it's not what I'd call great, but it was an enjoyable watch. It's better than the majority of submissions and for this to be your 1st flash creation shows real promise.

Good luck with future stuff,
Bez

Poor graphics, but mildly amusing.

It wasn't a great animation graphically, but it did make me smile with amusement a couple of times...

Still, the waits between jokes were too long. If you cut the the bit with the 2 guys bickering and made it a bit shorter, that might be a good move.

Also consider some subtitles, as they were hard to understand, as was jimbo.

#2 is still my favourite.

I did think this one dragged on a tad, and I also liked Barkley (although if everyone else thinks differently, you've obviously done the right thing in getting rid of him...).

Also, a small niggle in both this and #2 is that the TV looks a little out of place in its environment, although a colour other than the black/white gradient probably wouldn't work...

Still, well done on such a successful series and on getting daily feature.

The graphics and voices have been of a professional standard throughout, although I do still find the lack of a play button a tad annoying.
