I winced and smiled. Chuckled once, heartily.

The sheriff's note was brilliantly chuckle-inducing.

Though I'm not too keen on the style, you work well within it, with some good details for bruises, bandages and such and fairly clean graphics (apart from the rock and the pie itself, maybe).

I liked the font you used (what is it? Is it 'Impact?') and liked the slight animation and colours for when we progressed to Goal 2.

Music was well picked as were the sounds.

My main criticism is just the subject matter - it seems to be mainly based around slapstick humour and most of the jokes were fairly obvious - my prediction based on the attempt name generally holding true.

The digging was the one part to surprise me.

I still enjoyed it, largely thanks to the fast pace and merry vibe, but I didn't enjoy it as much as the first.

Shrinkz responds:

I really enjoy reviews like this. Straight down to the point, with some healthy critisizm stuck in. I'm glad you liked the animation overall. I'll be sure to think up some better "Surprising" attempts in the third, which won't be out for a while, which should give me some time to think.

And yes, the font is Impact.

smiled throughout and chuckled heartily at the end

Nice preloader button and exposition text.

The various attempts were kinda predictable (apart from the specifics of the ladder and the ending, I saw everything coming quite clearly).

I did like the general presentation of the whole thing and the spin you put on that quote... great.

My main beef is the graphical style - it just irks me how everyone rips Krinkel's limbless characters for the sake of easier animation. Still, at least it was reproduced fairly well, even if I don't like the style.

I smiled throughout and chuckled heartily at the end-screen.

smiling throughout and chuckling here and there

The new intro was quite amusing - I chuckled at the hit.

I liked the way you've added some shading .

There were a few chucklesome moments - I found Gary's laugh hilarious for some reason and I really liked the 'getting off' at the end. Also, I liked the doctor's intermissions.

There are a few graphical problems - the tweening is kinda cheap, the near-constant smiles, Max's hands that stay on the blanket, occasional background colours not stretching to the ends of the frame (during intro and all of credits)... Some more expressions could really add some visual humour - Gary's broad smiling part was cool and it'd be good to see more of that.

Btw, I meant to mention earlier that I liked the J.P logo you made.

It's a series of cheap laughs and fairly obvious jokes. However, you tend to keep it going at a brisk pace and there are a few surprises along the way. Graphics are something that could be improved, but all in all, this episode managed to get me smiling throughout and chuckling here and there.

no chuckles here for me

I gotta say, I never liked Rude boy's font that much in the intro. It just kinda sits badly with the rest of the style.

I do like some of the graphical details here, like Junior's shirt, the scene outside the window... and the tree was well drawn and nicely animated without being distracting.

Also, I like the scene selection feature you added a couple of episodes ago.

Again, I dislike your constant smiling. If you're not gonna redraw the mouths, you should maybe consider just taking away the mouths when they finish speaking.

Your shortest episode yet, and no chuckles here for me, unfortunately. Some faint smiles.

none of it got me laughing the way #1/2 did.

I actually felt this was the weakest episode yet.

There were plenty of parts that made me smile and Max's appearance has developed some extra humour through repetition (I chuckled a tiny bit). But there just weren't any bits that got me chuckling thoroughly, like the trike or waking up parts.

The family guy bit got kinda annoying.

I was pleased that you bothered to redraw the faces at a couple of points (after metallica cameo and Family guy bit). The constant smiling still irritated me though.

And the animation was really minimalistic.

I did like the way you drew the metallica guys' faces though.

Anyway, the graphics aren't really what makes a feature like this - it's the writing. I'm not good at deconstructing the writing, but essentially, nothing ever came as a massive surprise to me. I suppose another song would have been expected anyway.

The characters' themselves are practically paper-thin - 3 episodes on and beyond a few personality quirks, I feel they're pretty much faceless.

It's not as bad as my review may have suggested - as I said at the start, I was kinda smiling for most of it. But none of it got me laughing the way #1/2 did.

Amusing, with no real low points.

I enjoyed the waking up, though not as much as I did the trike riding.

Max's extending ramblings when he made his first appearance made me chuckle.

What annoyed me throughout this episode was the way you really avoided drawing more mouths than needed, meaning that whether they were annoyed, angry, sad or surprised, Rudeboy and Junior still smiled and had the same mouth shapes.

Also, I found it kinda sad how you already seem to be settling into a bit of a pattern. Well, I guess that's kinda unavoidable in some ways, but Max's sufferings were kinda tiring.

Graphics are generally smooth and I liked the way you drew the parents. The outdoors scene (when day becomes night becomes day) seemed rather sloppy though.

It did amuse me and there weren't any low points like in #1. Good stuff.

Let down by the end imo.

Liked how the intro is short and to the point.

The green goblin's talking was really badly animated and his teeth terribly drawn.

Mostly though, the graphics were fairly nice, kinda reminding me of old-style 'Scary-go-Round', with some smooth lines. I do think you could continue to improve them though and look forward to seeing how they evolved.

The girl's singing was hilarious.

The ending after that wasn't entertaining for me. Liked the fade into the proper music though.

Chuckled again at the ending.

Apart from the end song and Max's first appearance, it generally entertained throughout, being fairly fast-paced for the most part.

It's not particularly amusing.

At first I had no idea what to think... then I read some reviews searched for BassClock's 'For Damon' and understood.

Basically just a piss-take...

It's just about adequately drawn and 'animated' and apart from shock-humour has no redeeming qualities.

C'mon, let's see... your point here is - 'hey, let's stare at his mangled face! C'mon! Look at it! Is something wrong with this picture? Is something wrong with the idea of exposing a deceased friend to this?'

I'm not sure how much of it is you trying to say that private matters should remain that way, and how much of it is about you having a chuckle at the outrage of others.

Despite your allusions to the former in some review responses, I'm willing to bet it's mostly (if not entirely) the latter.

Well, it's a cheap, old joke. It's an obvious joke. It's not particularly amusing.

did make me smile a bit, though seems a bit wrong

The whole concept of him messing around with his corpse-friend did make me smile a bit, but it does seem a bit wrong to me to make stuff purely for the sake of pissing others off.

Graphics weren't great, but were never so bad as to call attention to themselves if you see what I mean.

Music was funky.
