hen I finally did it, it
Played when it was UJ. Got stuck trying to buy a cookie. Played again just now, checking some previous review, which told me what to click at that point. Completed.
++++ Many lines made me grin or smile. Specially girl's room, teacher lines (which I actually tried all of first time), key.
++++ Great nod to Pico's School. I like how the layout's pretty much the same and the locker/girl's room reference is cool.
+++ I like how the coins twinkle at the start. Good way to introduce us to the whole mechanic.
+++ BGM fits well throughout.
+++ Fairly fluid animation and consistent graphical style.
--- Just a draw-back of the genre: clicking around - 'spot hunting' - and just trying the various permutations of actions when we're stuck.
--- I honestly think that the comment is kinda misleading. Maybe he could say something like, "The lights are all off and it's just not working." Maybe give us a bit of a clue there. Maybe you could have it so that if folk click multiple times, we start getting obscure clues, the clues becoming more and mroe obvious as we click?
---- The ending was something of an anti-climax. Maybe there could have been some sort of chase or something. Maybe the fat kid starts rolling and we have to click fast to run ahead of him?
I was kinda hoping the encounter in the office would be interactive. It could have been some sort of stealth thing - if he sees us, he puts his hand on the keys. Then once we grab them, he starts chasing us or something.
++ All the 'puzzles' are totally logical. With the possible exception of the grease.
-- Some of the 'decoys' were kinda frustrating. Why wasn't I allowed to check out the vent, opening it with the same lube? I guess it's too high, but right until the end, I thought there'd be more to wrap up and do, so I guess that added to my disappointment of the ending.

Made me smile for the most part. But the ending frustrated and first, and then when I finally did it, it disappointed.
