hangman game. But really should show

Played through once, started again automatically, then I quit it.

------ As already mentioned the game REALLY should show the answers after/if you get them wrong.

--- It'd be nice if the underscores were slightly seperated so we could actually see how many letters were left.

+++ The idea of trying to save the druggy is a good one.

+++ The questions seem good.

+++ The whole game works pretty well. I mean letters disappear, the whole coding works basically with no errors.

++ Nice music.

Interesting variant on the hangman game. But really should show the answers after.

as this style of game could

I've always loved these games in reality. I used to have one bought in a holiday camp somewhere and everyone was always amazed at how fast I'd complete it.

I liked how we had quite a few options. I first played with the default tiger picture, then, after having a look at the other pictures, tried the swan pic with a 6x6 board. It becomes a lot harder - even just to know where all the pieces should go. I completed that, then, satisfied, decided to end my session.

Then I played one more game - blue windows, 6x6.

++++ Loads of options. I can see myself coming back at some point in the future to play on this again with another pic.

+++++ 6x6 pics - something you don't find in reality.

+++ Being able to slide multiple blocks in one click.

++++ Stats.

+++ Most photos seem really nice.

--- No sound

- Somewhat inherently limited nature of game

- could be more photos

- maybe even higher grid sizes?

I'd say this is close to as good as this style of game could possibly be.

game. Specially

Really great game.

I was gonna make this (with all the countries!), mainly as a programming challenge, but now you've done it... I guess I'll have to try extra hard to make it different.

I really liked the gfx for the buttons. The face was kinda nice. The whole idea with hangman for countries is great. (I mean that's why I had the idea... heh.)

I tink some sfx or bgm would have been nice. Also, maybe keyboard input.

Maybe it'd have been nice to connect the game together somehow, rather than having each level be totally seperate.

Maybe with lives that carry on throughout a game session or something.

Really nice game. Specially attractive buttons.

whole thing just being a non-random

Well, this is the 2nd time I played this. I got to level 2 this time, then decided I couldn't be bothered playing anymore. Died maybe 8x on level 1... maybe 15x on level 2.

Probably won't return to this, so I'll let you know what I think so far.

++++ interesting concept. Though very similar to some other games in terms of game mechanics, the 'wrapper' of playing as a bullet bill etc. does capture the imagination.

++++ Music fairly fitting.

--- Passwords should remain on-screen I think. Maybe in a corner, you could show the current password?

------ Overall, the whole game seems to fall down (in my opinion) by being more about 'learning' the levels and less purely about reactions.
Though RNGs generally annoy me, when disaster can be blamed on them, it'd be nice if you were to introduce some changeable elements. Maybe make the platforms further apart... maybe have the levels start off slower and speed up...

-- Up to where I got, there was little interesting variation in gameplay.

Interesting concept, but I was disappointed by the whole thing just being a non-random version of so many other games.

game, but nothing

I started on easy, found it too easy, thought 'what the fuck am I doing', then closed the window and played on hard.

I got ???? points, died, then saw no reason to try again.

------ I'm really disappointed - you STILL don't show our final score at the end. That's, like, vital!

+++ I liked how on hard there's more than one thing on-screen at a time. It kinda means it's about stacking up thoughts in your mind as well as just reacting quickly.

-- I preferred the original music. Suited the frantic nature better.

Flashing ball seemed pointless.

As mentioned below, you really added nothing to this idea. Not a terrible game, but nothing new.

notice you have

Played it once. Got ??? points. After getting to the end and not knowing what score I got, I saw no point in retrying.

------ The score you got doesn't show on the end screen.

++++ Accelerates at a good rate.

+++ Suitable music.

+ I like the rolling of the marble.

--- Kinda limited gameplay.

Not a bad game. I notice you have a sequel available, which I'm eager to try out.

It's been copied.

Are you aware of 'Which Wizard?' ?

I just reviewed that and upon inspecting reviews, it seems to be a copy of this...

Well, as for the review... I'll just copy and paste the one from that, as that dude basically copied everything from your version.

Your graphics are somewhat better though and I like how you actually have back/forward buttons.

Also, I notice that in your version, whilst clicking anywhere on-screen, one of the segments starts moving. The hit-boxes seem somewhat messed up.

========================

+++++ The puzzle instantly captures the imagination.

++++ Had fun working it out.

- Maybe you could have had cleaner lines... maybe some shading...

-- It'd be nice if the segments 'snapped' back in place.

Cool game. Thanks for showing us the crazy little puzzle. May not be original, but props for crediting and for introducing us to it.

14 'heads/hats' on top. 14 feet on bottom. But originally, the 3rd from the right and the yellow one with the brown beard don't 'use up' a thing from the below/above respectively.

what it is

Started it. Completed it, failing a couple of times due to hitting the walls.

Made a couple of wrong turns, I'm somewhat ashamed to say. The gradient made it harder to see, which I wasn't overly keen on.

----- I was really hoping for more of a twist.

+ The motion is decent.

--- After reading some reviews, I had a check and yeah - you can go through some walls. You should interpolate between the old position and new position, checking every 10th of the distance moved for each frame maybe.

++ Maze is reasonably well designed.

--- But it just seems so derivative...

--- Only one level

Not bad for what it is. I just think that a 'plain' maze game is just kinda boring. Not for me, I suppose.

crazy little puzzle. May not

Nice puzzle. I think I might have seen this before but didn't review it then.

+++++ The puzzle instantly captures the imagination.

++++ Had fun working it out.

- Maybe you could have had cleaner lines... maybe some shading...

-- It'd be nice if the segments 'snapped' back in place.

-- At the start of the game, we can scroll the whole screen around. That seems like a mistake.

I got 18060! Then 23520!

I was Acid Dimensions all those years ago by the way. I would have e-mailed but couldn't...

Anyway, first my review:

+++++ original concept

++++ Nice graphics. I really like the detail of the plates stacking up and the way you have a few different stages of being cooked. Though I think it goes too suddenly from 'raw' to 'done'. I think there should also be a 'slightly cooked but not cooked enough' stage.

+++++ Good length of game. Any longer, and it'd get boring. I really like how all your games are short and sweet.

Other than maybe a language option, I suggest you could have maybe colour-coded the messages for raw/good/overcooked (had some pale colours in the background of the speech bubble) and also made them stay on screen slightly longer.

Overall, it's a great game. And I'm not sure but I think I might have got the perfect score. (Though it may be possible to cook 6 more still.

==============================
Warning: don't read this - it's more fun to work out for yourself.
==============================

My method - I cooked 6 at a time. Lay 6 down. When the sizzle had died out, I'd quickly flip them all over, wait until the sizzle had died out again, then drag them into the bowl.

Repeat and if you don't make any mistakes you get a great score thanks to the way the score keeps increasing.

The difference between 18060 and 23520 was one set of 6 beef - each set should take 15s to cook.

I think 23520 really is a perfect score.

Well, I had fun working that all out. Thanks for making this highly original and wonderful game.
