Sumptuous graphics, as always.

The visuals were lovely - speedlines and depth of field were used occasionally to great effect and the small touch of 'bullet-time' was nicely handled.

The music set the pace perfectly.

The action was fairly well scripted. However, I have a couple of (minor) criticisms.

Firstly, near the start of the movie, it looks as if the same uberkid has been skewed around to make them look as if they're in a circle - it all looks flat, almost like Paper Mario.

Secondly, throughout the action, Pico wasn't put into danger enough for it to be truly thrilling for me and the start and finish, though amusing, weren't enough to make that irrelevant.

Damn fine though.

You make some great points. I'll keep them in mind for my next flash attempt.

thanks for the input

Better than #1

It's better than #1, but I still found the story a bit too unfocused and there didn't seem t be enough jokes...

At least this one kinda made me smile...

The impossible premise made it slightly difficult for me to enjoy the animation...

Ah, I suppose I just don't share your humour.

a bit dull...

I watched this because the sequel's so high in the charts.

The graphics are OK and though I couldn't understand a couple of lines, the voice acting was decent too.

My main gripe is that though the plot is vaguely interesting, it doesn't grip me, nor does it really amuse me after the first half- minute.

I just feel the whole story could have been condensed into something shorter but better.

Many jokes were left unresolved and I just think the story could have used some work.

Stylish and thought provoking.

The music - the slow macabre drawn-out notes - set the mood perfectly as does the black and white look.

Both a chilling commentary and a thought provoking masterpiece, I only wonder what the ending was all about.

A smile - an innocent gesture, a sign of happiness - forced upon you can be as bad as anything. Everyone should be free to live their lives as they wish.

That's the message I gather from this and yet I still find myself wondering - is the ending a statement about the soulless robots that dance in real life, oblivious to all around them? Maybe a pointless joke? Or a spanner thrown in to confuse us?

I'd love to know...

In any case, great job.

I applaud you, sir.

Brilliant

The art and animation is, of course, virtually flawless. Closer to Princess Mononoke than the typical NG entry, with some lovely backgrounds and shading.

I specially liked the light coming through the hole at the beginning and the water splashes.

The character design was lovely and the movement of the prowlies a joy in itself.

Music was well timed and the sound effect were believable.

The font you used was maybe slightly hard to read due to the extreme weight variations, but the style suited the mood perfectly and the floral design was nicely done.

The story itself was a good one, although the first half had a couple of moments that I feel maybe should have been cut or shortened.

The ending was amusing - though an old joke, it came unexpected and was a great ending to a great piece.

Though a joy to watch, thanks to the high quality throughout, I did feel that it could be more 'packed' somehow... for example, the opening scene could have had some movement if only a rustle of a couple of bits of grass as we see that static image longer than any other.

More importantly, a few more half-jokes wouldn't have gone amiss.

Still, this is nigh on perfect and my criticisms are but minor imperfections.

Strange perversions...

the ludicrous nature of his perversion appeals to the childish sense of humour within us all.

The walking animation leaves something to be desired, but the colours and style of drawing make for a stylish visual treat.

The macabre music fits in perfectly with the whole theme.

The voice acting is superb and one of the things that makes this such a hoot.

The twisted story, combined with the whole presentation makes for an animation I shall never forget.

Great work!

Up there with #1

Not so sick as to make me feel totally queasy, this has some pleasant psychadelic parts and contrasts salad fingers' psyche with that of yet another twisted being.

The end is a little hard to understand though. (how did he exit?)

Left me feeling queasy... congrats

It's sick, disturbed, twisted and unpredictable. Exactly as you probably wanted it to be.

But whilst compelling, it was more because of a morbid fascination than because it made me laugh at all.

Still, definitely a good animation.
