a charming story.

I kinda liked the plot. It was kinda sweet and I find it funny to imagine a cat's bravery being brought upon by increased self-awareness.

However, though the graphics aren't bad in themselves, I really disliked the whole animation style.

I felt that for this kind of cartoon, I needed to empaphise with Sherbert and believe in him as a character. With all the tweening you did and limited redrawing, I could rarely properly tell what Sherbert was actually feeling.

Also, the synching to the beat of the tune was a bit off.

Still, a charming story.

Seems pointless to submit...

I was quite disappointed - expected more of this (didn't read the comments first).

If beginning a movie, it seems a good length and the introduction to characters and scrolling film-bit works well.

I don't like the white text on black bg though as it doesn't match the style of the rest of the intro at all.

Also, I hate automatic starts.

As an intro, I'd give it 6/10. But as an NG submission, it just has too little (or no) entertainment value.

Then go to Duck Luck Episode #4 and you'll see it as part of a movie.

made me chuck

First time I watched, I didn't realise it was meant to be the NG crew until half-way through, mainly due to the English accent. (for that reason, I give sound a 4, as opposed to a 7)

Maybe some opening text, saying 'one day at the NG office' or something would help. I generally read author's notes after watching/playing the flash.

The movie itself was well made and the joke made me chuckle a bit.

you should continue

The fuzzies themselves look kinda impressive (the actual body).

The eyes could be more expressive - try changing the actual shapes of the eyes rather than just scaling them.

I kinda liked this flash, though won't be rewatching it.

I was just thinking though - it could be a pretty cool idea to sorta have different AI and have the movies procedurally generated somehow. Like a tournament, but also using the AI to pit a 'main' character against little 'henchmen'. And maybe you could intersperse it with movie segments, or maybe just ensure that the AI reflects n appropriate 'mood' with their eyes or whatever.

Anyway, I reckon you should continue this, as promised.

Wooooo

Watched it a couple of times, let it play a couple more times... purple always won.

I think the straight line attack mebbe makes it a stronger foe?

Anyway, all the particle effects are pretty awesome to watch, although it's not so great when rewatching it.

It'd be nice if they flashed red or something when damaged, so we could see that more clearly. Also, the 'hits' counter is a bit vague - I initially thought it was hits on their enemy, later realising it was hits against them, so to speak.

Anyway, cool idea and the procedurally generated nature does kinda make it stand out as something special.

I chuckled, cringed, and shall remember.

Some crazy shit.

The graphics actually looked fairly good in their own way.

Liked SBC's Big Ben clockface.

Scene with SBC being ****** really made me cringe. Oooh.... eeeeeee....

The whole thing seemed rather random, whilst having enough coherence to leave us trying to piece together a plot that isn't there. A tricky line to walk and assuming that's what you were going for, you pulled it off brilliantly.

But why no replay button??????

Smiled, despite the shoddy graphics

Watched it for an idea of what the series is all about.

Lara's voice was good in terms of recording/accent, but those fo Samus and the MK dude were kinda badly recorded and hard to understand.

I really liked 'Game Over' with psychadelic flashing arcadey colours and also the pixelly font used for start/end.

Hated the artwork generally. The art seemed to have neither flair nor was it clean or well executed.

Script was good enough to make me smile throughout much of it, but nothing special.

It took my imagination to make me grin

The premise is amusing, and I love the opening silhouette shot.

However, I found the speech kinda hard to understand at points - maybe add subtitles? - and the end with 'technical difficulties' was a bit hard to understand. I mean, why did the cameraman start rolling on the grass? To hide? So what were the tech. difficulties? The lack of a sound engineer shouldn't be a problem... you could have had the cameraman go as well for a beter ending.

Lastly - the pouncing animation was a tiny bit weak. But that's a minor niggle.

The 'credits' about Japanese were both amusing and informative. I always assumed that 'kohii' and 'biru' were from English!

The idea makes me smile the more I think about it. However, some better supporting elements could have strengthened the joke.

HalfV responds:

Im surpised that you were able to tell what was being displayed in the credits, and I now realised that subtitles would have been a good idea. The whole camera falling was supposed to be the cameraman dropping the camera while running. Thanks for the comment, glad you enjoyed it
