Thank you, Jesus.

-- Kinda limited-frame animation.

+++ Made me giggle. Specially at the end... I guess it kinda took me by surprise. For some reason, I wasn't expecting something silly.

++ I specially like how Jesus sounds kinda like Otto from the Simpsons. Not like a copy, but that kinda personality.

overall... no opus, but it made me giggle. Thank you, Jesus.

I enjoyed watching this somewhat.

+++ I do generally enjoy watching things morph into other things and I liked the way you kind of kept one part of each picture the same to seemingly inspire the next one.

+++ Music was cool.

------ I HATE flashes that start automatically. Hate ones that then go on to loop endlessly for no real reason even more.

--- Graphics weren't specially well drawn and morphing was all a bit choppy. You animated on too few frames imo.

I enjoyed watching this somewhat. And I think it's definitely better to make something than do nothing in a perfectionist fit. But your graphics... just aren't anywhere near the standard of your audio atm.

I'm not sure if you have any real inclination to improve much, but if you do, just spend more time and kinda practise your drawing too mebbe.

Better gfx would help reel folk in

+++ I liked the use of white brushstrokes on a white bg early on (though you should maybe try using the mask tool).

+++ Liked the basic concept.

--- The transitions between audio segments took too long - I don't think there should have been as much silence as there was.

--- I also felt the visuals were a bit static and there wasn't enough visual interest basically. Specially at the end, where it was just the NG bg scaled.

Cool idea. Better gfx would help reel folk in though.

enjoyed this somewhat

I was kinda expecting a big surprise based on your comments and was kinda disappointed.

++++ Again, great animation; nice models. I specially liked the clay twigs.

-- Though the young ogre should have feet.

--- I felt that the conclusion was a bit disappointing. So this is why he hates living there? I was hoping for something more of an event... something surprising. The snowman coming to life was interesting, but it led to less than I'd hoped.

Preferred the start for its more interesting dialogue and surprising turn of events. Still enjoyed this somewhat though and the end made me smile.

MackProductions responds:

Sorry to disappoint. Well this is a single film that by being split into two pieces makes for comparison between the two, which is a reason I'm unhappy about splitting it into two.
The surprising turn of events was in part 1, but with the movie as a whole it is just what comes before the climax, so it isn't mean to be though of as "in the beginning section."

Well thank you for the review, I do appreciate it.

impressed by the quality of voices/claymation

++++ The claymation is brilliant. Proper limbs and everything. I like how he wiggles his feet.

+++++ The ogre exudes personality. Great voice. I like the lines.

+++ The basic idea is an interesting one.

--- After the introduction and the snowman coming to life, I was kinda disappointed to see it devolve into just a straight 'fight movie'.

I was very impressed by the quality of work and eager to see where this one went.

Doesn't really shine.

++++ Fast paced stuff. Specially liked Wonchop's part.

+++ I liked the folk who had some overt connection to the themes.

--- I felt a few parts were 'enh'. Kinda low on both visual and narrative interest.

- At the end, Sandman's name doesn't appear. (Or appears in white on white.)

Nice work and mildly entertaining. Doesn't really shine though.

I enjoyed part of it.

+++ The monologue about the cookie made me chuckle slightly, as did Neo's response to being able to do crazy things. The 'smurf' bit made me smile.

-- The rest didn't really make me smile even. I find it hard to critique humour. The 'costume drama' was pretty unoriginal though.

-- Poor animation. I think you just need practise here.

I enjoyed part of it.

RogerregoRRoger responds:

glad you enjoyed a bit of it tough then

Didn't actually make me laugh

--- Song at end carries on after 'The End' has appeared. Then it goes on to repeat! And the visual 'entertainment' during that song isn't particularly interesting.

+ It is a cool song, though.

++++ The movie itself has loads going on. Loads of ideas. I specially liked the Mario bit and the volcano.

++++ Great timing of camera/actions to music.

+++ Suitable music.

- I think it'd work better if the ending tune carried on a few seconds longer. Maybe you could have used that for the credits?

Didn't actually make me laugh, but it was certainly entertaining. The end-credits are kinda boring though.

It was fun to watch and made me marvel, smile and

+++++ The 'Mickey Mousing' was done brilliantly. (Thanks for teaching us the term btw.)

+++++ The mood was brilliantly set to the music, following the tension at the start through to the aggressive chaos, then the witty ending. It's really done so well that one might imagine the music were made just for this piece.

-- I kinda think the lady moves too slow at the start. I mean, she's got this meat out, shouldn't she cover it or something before the fly goes on it? Silly lady.

+++ The controller was INCREDIBLE. Almost perfect. I do still think that the end should have a replay button and the ffwd/rwnd buttons should increase speed when we click and hold, not just each time we click. The great thing is that this is such a short but well drawn animation that it's actually worth perusing it, possibly fbf at some points.
Fuck man, that's incredible. Note that I gave your animation more points for interactivity than many games. With good reason, I feel.

--- Even though it is all a joy to watch (made me smile throughout) it does feel a tiny bit light-weight. This criticism is maybe me being greedy and asking for more of the same, but with different choreography (if you see what I mean). Or maybe it's partially due to the lack of a set-up and a real conclusion. At the end of the movie, there's no change in the setup. No development, so to speak.
