sets up the story well and it's kinda cute

Though I kinda enjoyed the intro the first couple of times, it's kinda annoying now.

I reckon you should have submitted 3-1 and 3-2 in one submission. The size limit is 10MB, so it wouldn't have been too large!

I liked the mouse design and the part where the portal opened was rather cool. Also, I liked the start with the typing noises and cool design. All too often though, I kinda find the graphics and animation somewhat lacking with the tweened body parts not always matching up too well.

This half sets up the story well and it's kinda cute how 'simple' sherbert's personality is.

Jonimator responds:

I think i might put the two submissions together actually, Not sure if people would like seeing them again though. I'm thinking of changing the intro now, kinda annoying me too.
thanks for the review.

A nice upbeat feel generally.

At the start, there was some alright synching between audio and the story/graphics, but that all soon went to pot. I just felt that the tempo of movement on-screen didn't match the various tempos of the tune and the moments when the 'singer' paused. I reckon that really affected my enjoyment.

The story was mildly amusing, though the various jokes were kinda unoriginal and I thought the way Sherbert ran repeatedly past the mouse was kinda confusing.

I found it funny how the mouse crapped what looked like bullets and also Sherb's eyebrows at the end.

A nice upbeat feel generally.

thanks for the review!

I enjoyed it.

As mentioned before, I don't like your thin-black-outline style.

Also, I hate auto-starts.

You do have some well-expressed expressions, though you could have their eyes widen in fear as the tank comes or whatever.

The tank - what was that meant o do? Melt the snow? Shoot snow-balls? Could have been some added humour to show that effect before it ended.

The font was fairly well picked and everything went well with the music. It did have a faily jolly theme and I liked the way it kept going at a fast pace.

I enjoyed it.

I'd enjoy seeing a remake

I really liked the basic plot of that.

At the start, I liked your loading bar. Looks kinda like the Armorgames one... did you get it from somewhere?

Also, I liked the Sega-ish font for the title page and the 'Gigli' font for in the office of the corporation (though th numerals didn't really fit. If there aren't any numerals in that font and you actually mixed in Times New Roman or something, you could've used letters to spell out the numbers...

I found the background music loop a bit overly repetitive and simple.

I liked the pink-haired Jim and loved the fight sequence. For me, the fight sequence pretty much made the movie.

The ending really felt like a big cop-out.

The graphics, I don't like at all, mainly because of the style. The whole 'thin, crisp lines with simple shapes and solid colours' look just reminds me too much of someone's first tinkerings with MSPaint or whatever.

I'd enjoy seeing a remake if you were to make it a 'real' story rather than just end the thing in a cop-out 'this isn't real, it's actually (a dream/story being told/whatever)' manner.

Jimtopia responds:

Yes well, If I were to remake it, it would be awhile from now. I'm glad you enjoyed it, and thx for your review, I always love hearing from fans! =D

hats off to all who worked hard in this collab.

The song was brilliant and I liked the end-reveal and the peak animation, but there just didn't seem to be as high a standard of creativity as in the Red Line.

I really liked Memb's - nice use of custom brushes.

There were a few other pictures that were really technically accomplished. However, many of them seemed like pictures that had little or nothing to do with the mountain and would work equally well if the mountain was replaced with, say, a house, an abstract plane or a grassy field or whatever.

It was somewhat enjoyable to watch though and hats off to all who worked hard in this collab.

SirNightOwl responds:

Cheers, the quality of some of the entries was lacking, but we specified from the start that everyone could join, so we kind of shot ourselves in the foot a little bit. But yeah Memb's entry was cool.

Seems pointless to submit...

I was quite disappointed - expected more of this (didn't read the comments first).

If beginning a movie, it seems a good length and the introduction to characters and scrolling film-bit works well.

I don't like the white text on black bg though as it doesn't match the style of the rest of the intro at all.

Also, I hate automatic starts.

As an intro, I'd give it 6/10. But as an NG submission, it just has too little (or no) entertainment value.

Then go to Duck Luck Episode #4 and you'll see it as part of a movie.
