Great! And I haven't even seen the original!

I never saw the original, neither living in the US, nor watching a lot of TV.

And it seems to have been removed from the website. :(

But despite that, this was still really funny and the graphics reallly added to the humour, specially when she stuck her hand down her throat.

Her tongue and the saliva too was animated really well.

Great stuff all round. :)

Bleeg responds:

Thanks for the review. They must have removed the commercial from the Starburst site recently... I've removed the link to it in the movie description. If you're really interested in seeing it, I could email it to you.

Stuff is stated too explicitly

I really didn't like the way the demon said what was going on so explicitly. It seemed patronising and needless.

This wasn't so bad that I don't care what happens next, but neither am I specially eager to find out.

It's just a bit of an annoyance that I can't see the next episode now.

A large portion of the annoyance is that it's pretty easy to predict what's going to happen in the next episode. (Not specifically, but in general terms at least.)

If you'd had some more genuine twists throughout the series, the short chapter format might have been more acceptable.

Still, I do hope the remaining episodes come out soon and I wish you the best of luck with any future flash you do.

I see you've experimented a bit with lines throughout this series. Maybe learning to animate and introducing simple animations, even if you're going to keep your non-animated style, might be nice.

It'd be nice to have smoke actually fade away, and beams actually lengthen, and some simple movement, all within your current style.

Still, it's obviously up to you.

In any case, stay funky,
Bez

Jon-Mahashintina responds:

Thanx I'll try that.

I'm starting to dread the wait...

Having watched the 2nd last episode you've uploaded so far, I'm starting to wonder how much of a pain waiting for #10 will be...

In any case, this was a fairly enjoyable watch, although slightly derivative.

I think the series was better when it didn't centre so exclusively around the fights.

It's obvious that goods going to win, and to be honest, you haven't given any of the characters enough dimensions to make me genuinely care about them.

I'm sorry to say this, but for a fight scene, you really need good graphics and animation.

You're not able to have any stunning choreography due to your fps, and nothing really surprised me apart from in the 1st episode.

Unless you throw a spanner in the works soon, I'm going to have to say that this - overall - became worse and more derivative after the 1st episode.

Still, as I said in a previous review, it has been (only just) entertaining and interesting enough to keep me watching.

Kind of like daytime TV.

Jon-Mahashintina responds:

I've actually already finished this series all ready so the ending is all done and stuff. The next series I'm currently working on and I'm taking all your reviews into account though.

Hmmm...

Well, a couple of the bitmaps made me smile, one made me chuckle (mini me), but I really don't think a slideshow of stuff you've gotten off the net warrants a high score.

In any case, I found it got a bit tiring as many of the pictures weren't that amusing to me.

Well you can think all you want but it does have that score, and besides it dont really matter, cause just like i told the last guy thease types have been done before and they will be done later, and yet they still get protected, they are funny silly, they are not ment for the art or the pazazz, but for the humor, it was my choice to make it, and i am pleased you know why, cause it made me laugh, and in the end thats what counts the most, oh and thanks for the review...

Hmmm...

Whilst you seem to have a decent joke in your head, the presentation is really below par.

Having a different on-screen cursor is just annoying when watching movies as it becomes an irritation, trying to get it in a position where it doesn't obstruct the screen so much.

Whilst the presence of stop/play commands is impressive, the restart button should be the back-skip button rather than a back arrow.

The animation could be improved.

The main problem I feel is in the timing and delivery of the actual joke. It could have been a half-decent movie but as it is, it just seems like it needs some serious work.

Still, with practise you'll only improve, so keep at it.

Stay funky,
Bez

Livecorpse responds:

Wow, what a helpful review!
I'll take this into consideration as i work on my next one. thanks again Bez

Not really entertaining.

I'd watched just over half of your sections when I decided to close the window.

I suppose it's educational and the drawling tone of the speaker does sound somewhat like a slightly boring (and bored) lecturer.

The animations and pictures definitely help to explain stuff, but there are a few niggles. People who will see this on NG probably won't be able to remember all the names you mention and might need some terms like CRI and Radiograph actually explained. Remember who your audience is!

However, my main gripe is that it's just not entertaining. I didn't click to be taught some information which will be mostly useless to me; I hoped to be entertained.

SeXy-SiMo responds:

Well I did say if you arent willing to learn something don't watch it... but I guess you didn't listen.

Also the intended audience were actually diagnostic radiography university students. I only put it on here just to add to my flash collection.

Seems unfinished.

The way it ends, with some voice playing when the black screen arrives really makes it seem as if the ending is premature.

I suppose I should have expected the length, given the title calls this act 7 but still... the way it ends just seems really sloppy.

You could have at least have had an ending screen and not had the voice at the end.

Apart from that niggle though, it was a reasonably enjoyable watch and piqued my curiousity. I don't know if I can be bothered to click on the previous acts and wait for them to load 1 by 1 though... you should maybe stick 5 of them together or something.

Mek1985 responds:

Meh, yeah, act 7 was kind of a dissapointment...dude 5 all together would be like WAY over 5 megs... :-p

Brought smiles to my face. :)

The hilligan's eyeland pt. 2 was really uncalled for, but apart from that, the random nature of the animation, coupled with some jokes that were actually mildly funny made this an enjoyable watch.

If I ever see another amateur hour in the portal, I'll be sure to watch it, as they've definitely gotten better with each episode.

Tomorrows-Nobody responds:

Haven't you noticed, AMATEUR HOUR is uncalled for.. that's kind of a theme: "uncalled for".

you're uncalled for, but i still love you.

Not as amusing as #3

I don't know if it's because the style was no longer refreshing or because the jokes weren't as good.

Probably a bit of both.

In any case, I actually found myself yawning for a fair bit of this.

And that screaming alien - he was just really annoying. What's with you and annoying sounds?

Tomorrows-Nobody responds:

Sorry, we find it funny. Haven't you ever annoyed someone with an annoying sound? Try annoying hundreds! ooooo.
Also check out our Tomorrow's Nobodies series. It's different. No screaming aliens.

Rather amusing, despite poor graphics.

The over-dramatic music at the start should bring a smile to the face of anyone watching and whilst the middle does degenerate into a slideshow for a short while (with a couple of poorly drawn strawberries having more screentime than necessary), the images and music that have been selected, as well as the line at the end makes up for this.

All in all, an entirely enjoyable watch.

Data-Burn responds:

Thank you very much!
