It's all near-perfect... but why letters?

I suppose with letters you could argue it's slightly easier to remember them, but I think I prefer playing with pictures.

Everything else is basically perfect. The pink panther tune is an excellent one (as I'm sure you're aware) and fits the mood perfectly. It's nice how you've made it random, and the coding all seems to work perfectly. (Good job!)

Maybe you could make another installment and allow folk to choose between 5 different types of cards? You could have letters, numbers, different numbers of dots, solid colours or pictures...

The only real down-side to this game is the lack of originality.

Too unclear and muddled.

My main gripe with this game is that its not entirely clear what exactly you can do in the game. I got to the end of the demo, but only by following orders... despite having a menu at the left, that didn't seem to do anything when I clicked in that area and I've got a suspicion that there was only one thing I could ever have done, despite the fact that you tried to dress it up like a strategy game.

I feel that if you focused more on what you are able to program into the game and just think a bit more about what you'd like the player to do exactly, it'd result in a better game.

As it is, it just seems like a confused mess. Sorry.

Still, I look forward to your future stuff as you obviously have a decent imagination and good ambitions.

You just need to focus.

I liked it. :)

Like many of the previous reviewers, I really didn't expect this to be so fun to play.

It's more of a movie than a game, but whatever it is, it entertained me and that's all I ask for. :)

(I gave you an extra point for managing to get the concept to be enjoyable and managing to make something rather original.)

The button did actually look really nice, and the noise it made really made me want to press it.

The background music was funky and didn't get irritating. The graphics however could have been a lot better. (Not that it mattered too much in this 'game')

I hope you make more stuff, as you seem to have a quirky sense of humour, which is always a good thing. :)

Me again! (I reviewed 2 of your movies before)

I had a look to see if you'd made a new version of Another Wierd Ordeal after going through my old reviews and remembering that I rather enjoyed it.

Are you ever going to make another version or something along those same lines?

This (Tiles v0.1) is a good concept for a game but lacks any real challenge and therein lies its greatest problem.

The enemy seems to walk about randomly and so it's not bother at all to keep killing him ad infinitum.

Maybe you could have added a timer and had a final score worked out somehow which we could try to beat? (Maybe his deaths - our deaths?)

Working in good enough AI could be really hard, so maybe multiple opponents would be the way to go? You could maybe have a new level after killing everything, a set number of lives and different opponents with different powers. (They may start off walking about but then destroy the block in front, then you might get some that kill on impact...

Whatever you do, I think this is definitely a concept worth playing about with.

I don't know if you still make and submit Flash (I hope you do) but I would really like to see an updated version of this, whatever direction you choose to take.

Played the deleted version of this..

To be honest, I don't like the music that much.

Also, the red boss only seems to take 3 hits, but it just too darn hard to hit - it seems to be largely luck...

There are a few problems remaining with this game apart from the music (which I found too repetitice and also not really to my taste).

I don't like the way that if you miss the password, you don't get a chance to go back to that screen.

The fact that some enemies need to be hit in specific locations (illogical sometimes, and just so that your blasts match up) is a bit annoying.

Also, the enemies should really harm you after some time - this would really make it into a more interactive game - as it is, all you can do is progress whereas that would add some actual challenge.

I really hope you keep at it as it's evident to me that you have great potential to make something worthwhile.

Just learn from your mistakes and keep on improving. :)

Keep at it,

Why?

Well, some of the sounds were OK and it all works, but I don't understand why you'd put this on NG. I don't understand at all why someone would want to 'play' this...

Surely anyone interesting in Warcraft 3 sounds would already have heard all the sounds or would have access to them all?

Well, I suppose there's no accounting for taste.

Interesting concept...

Bur the execution isn't too great.

Too many buttons shaped like text rather than a rextangle, too much hunting about to see what exactly there is to see... which in the end is not a lot.

Also, once of your links took me back to the first page.

To be honest, I'm not too sure if you could make something like this that interesting, but it was a good crack at the idea here, and if you improve it further... well... it'll be better!

Hehehehe

As said previously - not much of anything...

The gameplay was too limited and pacman's following of the mouse seemed to stall at times.

I won once, lost once (which was a lot harder, ironically enough) and will probably never play it again. I actually played free mode first, and was confused why you made such a thing when I realised what the game entailed.

To make this kind of game fun, you either need to think seriously about the design, maybe have some extra features and maybe a scoreboard.

Look at http://www.newgrounds.com/portal/view.php?id=62821 to see how a game of this style should be done.

Good start.

Things I like:

- The graphics are quality.

- The music is well chosen (although it does get a bit tiring after a couple of minutes).

Things I don't:

- If you go into the hole at the bottom-right of the map, you can't get out again.

- You don't see as much around you as I think you should. You should maybe consider making everything zoomed out a bit and maybe also increase the screen size. Hardly anyone uses less than 800x600.

- There's no sound effects. None that I heard anyway.

overall:

Finish it, and I'm confident it'll be a quality game. The biggest problem just now is not being able to see enough around you and this causes a lot of frustration as you bump into things you only first saw 0.4 seconds ago and had no real chance to avoid.

I'm looking forward to a better version of this from you.

Not enough instructions.

I worked out that I was suppose to keep up the circle things, but that seemed to be near-impossible.

Each time I passed an apple, whether I collected it or not, I'd lose a circle. I worked out that I could collect the circles but doing so was far too hard... and the game doesn't seem to change at all.

Have the instructions explain everything properly and make the game start off easier and get harder.
