Mildly amusing stuff.

I liked the headbanging. I imagine it was all easy-ish to do, but the graphics here do look OK.

The thing that amused me most were the silly high-pitched voices. Also liked the facts.

Not too keen on the 'next' button you use at the end. I'm sure you could come up with something better.

Mildly amusing stuff. :)

Murray responds:

Silly high-pitched voice like Locke's? Oh, I was thinking of changing Locke's voice to a lot lower.

a fast-paced trip through your imagination

I love the amount you've packed in here! I loved the shelf scene with the crashing balloon, the water/bird scene and the elephant on the flower. Also the weird roads and houses in the bg. An insane amount of concepts thrown in.

Though the colours arelovely for the most part, I wasn't too keen on the blue for the guys jeans. Just seemed a bit /too/ saturated to me...

There's plenty of parts I could point to in the graphics and say, "this is a bit sloppy, these lines aren't fantastic, the skewing tweens here are kinda cheap" but you put effort into what really counts - the amount of visual detail and the hilarious fbf lip synchs for the starts of the choruses.

I have little negative to say about this other than the blue I mentioned (which bothered me more than reasonable) and the fact that more /could/ have been packed in and the graphics /could/ have been further refined.

But it was a blast to watch and a hell of a fast-paced trip through your imagination. Wonderful.

RWappin responds:

Thanks for the constructive review.

I'm always trying to improve the smoothness of the animation. Interesting what you said about the jeans though, but yeah, I'll try to tone down the saturation next time. ;)

A chortle at the end

Speaking of b-days, my b-day is 13th August. Just an FYI. I'm gonna be 26 in 2008.

Hehehe.

Anyway, I hadn't heard of this band, but I've now listened/am listening to them via the magic of Youtube. 'Descend' has some cool sections whilst I disliked 'Walk with me in Hell'. Some goodness elsewhere too, though I wouldn't place them on my faves list personally.

Back to your movie, I liked the shaking for the anger and also loved the timing of the last line. Waiting for the screen to darken makes it resonate so much more.

Murray responds:

Your birthday is a day before Graham's. :O

I have to admit, I'm not a fan of Lamb of God's music, but I did this for Casualty. :) And I DID listen to Lamb of God on his birthday. XP

:-)

That red bull mc is awesome! I'm guessing you didn't draw it? Who did?

The keyboard looks like it took a while to get the keys right, but needs some perspective maybe.

I like your regional accent, but you should maybe have a tad more emotion in your voice - when you'd just remembered the b-days, it was a tad flat.

Whole thing was a tad predictable.

End made me smile though.

Murray responds:

Actually, I did draw that Red Bull can. :)

Yeah, drawing the keyboard took forever and was boring as hell to draw it. XP

Also, I have been trying to add more emotion to my voice acting.

And yes, I went to hell, but came back. :)

Cool b-day flash.

I didn't like the 'advert' so much - though it was cool with the nostalgia, that singing is never exactly pleasurable...

I liked the 'fear of the dark' clip with graham in the bg.

I wonder what was in the box and how exatly A-S's album sold so well. Did he buy his own CDs or something? Did his billionaire uncle do that for him?

I actually found much of this flash kinda derivative though the way you'd all made CDs was kinda amusing.

Cool b-day flash even if it didn't really make me chuckle.

Murray responds:

Nope, people actually bought Afro_Stud's album and now it's one of the best selling albums EVER! :P

Short and sweet.

I loved the music at the start and though it always looks odd with the sprite lyring or sitting down, the gradient on the sea and the leaves on the tree were nicely drawn.

I liked the shadow-reveal of A-S.

The rant was cool and the ending a surprise and a chuckle.

The only criticism I'd give this flash would be the graphics - A-S's talking mouth shouldn't be grinning when he's shocked. Bahamut looks poor when he's lying. And the deackchair and island itself could have been better drawn (maybe with a touch of shading and texture - that'd be not too hard and really help out).

Definitely one of my favourite flashes from you.

Murray responds:

"Definitely one of my favourite flashes from you."

Definitely my second funniest flash ever (1st is Graham's Birthday :D). Thanks for reviewing.

Twisted reality

As always, I like the twisted reality. I mean people disguising themselves as numbers?

There weren't any laugh-out-loud moments, but a bit of intrigue.

I love the fact that you actually put 1/3 of a flash in here.

Maybe you could delete the shadow from Bahamut's sprite? It just seems really odd when you're sleeping or whatever.

I'd still like to see you stretch yourself sometime and just redrawing some more body poses and expressions for a bit of extra visual humour.

Murray responds:

"Maybe you could delete the shadow from Bahamut's sprite? It just seems really odd when you're sleeping or whatever."

I have been aware about the shadow part looking funny there. However, it'll stay for now. Sometime, I'll give another go at drawing the Bahamut Character model and hopefully it replaces the sprite figure. :)

More jokes pls

I liked how this tied in a few of your previous efforts.

Your evilness at the end was kinda alarming!

I would have liked a quick recap, maybe with a few clips and a voice-over, at the start. Also, more jokes.

But I did enjoy this and the bizarre reality it resides in.

Murray responds:

MORE F***ING JOKES?!?!?!?! XP

Is shock-humour really necessary?

Hrm...

I wonder what went through your head when you were making this series. I'd honestly love to know how it came around.

The humour in this flash are mainly to be derived from the shock of others, or at least the shock we imagine on their faces as well as any reviews we witness.

Frankly, I just feel its a sad world where others must be shocked for our humour. I didn't like the concept behind this much.

I kinda liked the song at first - it had a fitting morose tempo and the lyrics and melody worked well.

AfroUnderscoreStud responds:

Not long before 01 was submitted there was some thread on NG about face recognition. You'd upload a picture and would get a list of famous people whose features matched the individual within the picture. I was messing about with it and decided to save one of the celebrity's pictures, upload it and see if they'd get a 100% match with themselves (which they didn't). One of the celebrity's apparently looked vaguely like Hitler, so I saved his picture and ran the test on him. One of the top facial matches for him was none other than Woodrow Wilson. absent made a thread and photoshop and I made a flash about it.

Poor Slash...

Heh.

Well, the sex scene was way too long for my liking. Had that been trimmed, it would've been kinda ok overall.

I didlike the way you sorta flashed up that dude in the first scene to show there was something odd going on.

AfroUnderscoreStud responds:

That dude was an ugly girl. :P
