ried noth

I find it interesting how you break the 4th wall so often in implicit ways - this being a prime example.

I guess it works far better because you don't spell it out like you did in 'Satan's Complaint' - you just sorta use the advances in your technique etc. to point you in the direction of a plot point.

It's kinda like breaking the 4th wall but not actually doing so. I hope you know what I mean because I like it.

I'm just disappointed - having seen the icon I hoped it'd be a crazy mix-media piece.

Also - why doesn't the replay button work?

Anyways, I'm looking forward to seeing more of this drawing. I was worried nothing would ever change with the graphics. ;-)

I was thinking of improving the image of Afro_Stud, but my friend didn't really like the idea, so I left it until I made that flash when I thought I really needed to make a new version of Afro_Stud.

point but the dial

Valid point. I guess missing girls and dead princesses just pull at the heartstrings and bring in more pundits... :-/

I like seeing the different characters and changes to the environment outside each time.

The news reporter hasn't said any news for a while now. Getting a tad formulaic - if you use the formula as a jumping point for different stuff, that's cool but make sure you don't start going over old ground too much.

The legs really look a bit akward - maybe you could even cut them off (be below the table) if you're not gonna animate them properly. With 2 poses - one side-one, one front-view, it'd look loads better.

Anyways, the script is generally your strong point. You make a fair point but the dialogue isn't that funny to me.

News Reporter finds your reviews very interesting. :)

acting made me chuck

I like how the poles make it look kinda like a prison as you/Wyvern walk in/out of college.

Your overacting made me chuckle and the end was a nice way to introduce your latest character. Now I'm sad I didn't watch this/that in order.

I think the last line kinda needed a pause before it to help the joke work.

£1 for a bottle seems a bit much btw.

The bin/bottle were drawn pretty well. Still, you could take your graphics up another notch.

On the subject of graphics, It does irritate me (though I've kept silent) when you attribute 'Google' for graphics - they helped you source some images etc. but the graphics were made by other artists/photographers so they remain unattributed.

Good flash as usual.

kinggila responds:

500ml bottles usually cost 90p here.

I intend to take my graphics up another notch when I'm onto making my 100th flash. That's if I don't end up running short on time. I wish to have the flash done before August.

Glad you uploaded this.

Wade VA was awesome.

Camera made me chuckle.

This flash is kinda odd and surreal, but it worked BECAUSE I WASN"T EXPECTING IT!

Sorry, my pinky slipped. this deserves a better score.total vote power was worth 7.77 votes!

Seriously though, CDs are a cool format.

kinggila responds:

I do appreciate all the compliments I get for Wade's VA, but to be honest, I don't think it's one of the best that NG fans do. But hey, if people like it, then I'm happy to make my fans happy. :)

I prefer your flashes where the plot isn'

Seriously, the start button/intro are cool, but the end frame needs a revamp. And why couldn't you get the replay button working?

I notice a new graphic for Satan. Nice head! Though the body's a bit weak...

Anyways, it's good to see you (slowly) improving these things.

Anyways, about the actual script - I don't enjoy these 'flashes about your flashes' too much. I kinda smiled watching it - I like Satan's voice and knowing the characters it was kinda fun to watch. I wish it hadn't been so predictable though.

I think I prefer your flashes where the plot isn't all about your flashes.

kinggila responds:

The replay button didn't work since this flash was in 60FPS. Because of that, the sound sync was completely fucked up. Don't ask me why, but Macromedia/Adobe better have a good reason as to why that happens.

So you're not keen on flashes about my flashes, but what about flashes about my flashes about my flashes? XD

the way A_S uses his inflections makes it hilariou

Was A_S trying to be effeminate? For some reason, just hearing the old lines in his real voice was hilarious. Nothing new in terms of the script, but the way A_S uses his inflections makes it hilarious.

I love the pause and inflections when he says 'I love... lEmonparty'

Watched it 3 times and laughed each time.

Graphics could be better, end button needs revamped, blah blah.

Awesome work.

kinggila responds:

Yeah, if it was me doing the voice acting, I wouldn't pause.

Overall, it's not bad, but I just felt the script

I didn't feel like this was one of your stronger flashes. I felt that another clone could've been entertaining but you didn't use it to its full potential somehow.

I mean the '1V, dumbass' and A_S coming in to annoy you guyswere kinda funny, but they're old jokes and didn't really make me grin as your flashes often do.

One thing - as we can't see the tops of the steps, we shouldn't be ableto see the upper floor - at first I thought that was a seperate place or something and didn't understand how they were connected until Fagamut came in. Think about perspective.

Not that that really made me enjoy it less.

I did like the idea, liked the fact that you had a character sorta appearing from the bg for once and the voices are as always easy to understand and fun to listen to.

Though maybe you should start altering your voice a tiny bit for Fag/Wyvern?

Overall, it's not bad, but I just felt the script was weaker than usual and failed to really entertain.

kinggila responds:

You've got a good point about the steps. That's what I should alter on the background. Doing that would make the scaling look better. Meh, I just need to learn about how to make decent 3D backgrounds, because without learning about making them, I've had to put some of my flash ideas on hold.

Also, nah, Fagamut and Wyvern must have the same voice as me. They're clones!!

great work.

The graphics throughout were excellent. The various levels of shading really made it rock. Animation is fairly quality too.

I loved the crazy expressions - though you jump from one pose to another, it works really well with the quick, aggressive dialogue.

The camera angle changes also worked really well - even just skewing the frame from moment to moment made it all match the excitement of the dialogue better. Nice tactic.

End tune worked brilliantly and the animation as a whole was definitely entertaining.

My only complaint is that the super-deformed bit was a bit odd, but not odd enough to make me chuckle. If you wanted to change up the character models, it seems you might have done well to go to insane levels.

Great movie. You provided some brilliant visuals.

too fast and jerky

Improve your title screen! As the first thing folk see, it plays a big part and this title screen - with the typography not really meshing well together and the slightly sloppy drawings - sent a bad first message. Not that the droid or alien would be appalling within the animation, but you should make the first screen send out a great first impression! Maybe use shading and cleaner lines? Better typography...

Anyway, I was pleasantly surprised by the actual movie. I liked the stop motion with the toys and liked the way you faded into the drawing at the end.

My main issue is that it's hard to follow - some motion's OK, but it seems like you need to get used to moving the guys a bit less between frames. Sometimes they jump about a bit too much and it's hard to tell what happened. When the guy's on his own, maybe have him walking for a few seconds to build up tension.

It's too fast and jerky and it took me 3 watches to properly understand what was going on, despite the fairly simple action.

If you moved the guys less between frames and thus slowed it down a tad, it might be understanded on first watch and it'd have time to resonate with us.

Cool sfx though.

Graeme responds:

The preloader is rather messy and boring.

And when I look back at the movie. It seems a guy moves across an entire screen in about 3 frames. When making it I wasn't aware how much i was moving them. And i'm used to flash, were if the movement was to much, you go back and add more.
But in this I was kinda stuck with what I had.

Same old.

I used to play Pokemon Blue/Red shitloads when they were first released in the US.

So seeing these 2 new pokemon is slightly more interesting whilst having no nostalgic value.

Anyway, I imagine the tune is just your latest love. Soothing to listen to.

The neck-splice is added well though maybe a liquified stretching of the face would have worked well.

Anyways, after checking the amusing parodies, I was curious to see if this had changed at all. Any pics up to the level of ATWI80D:Japan yet?

This is neither fresh nor cool imo. Surprised you still have lovers.

AfroUnderscoreStud responds:

ATWI80D in Japan was crap. CAI493+D will make that look like a masterpiece.
